Location: West Dublin
Contract:, Fulltime, 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Senior Occupational Therapist to join a busy Occupational Therapy department within a leading acute hospital, 6 miles from Dublin city centre.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, supportive team, gaining experience across a wide range of areas including Orthopaedics, Medical, Surgical, and the Medical Assessment Unit.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and provide high-quality patient care within a fast-paced acute setting.
- Assess, plan, and implement individualised treatment plans for patients in orthopaedics, medical, surgical, and the medical assessment unit.
- Supervise and mentor junior Occupational Therapists and students.
- Drive service development initiatives and quality improvement projects.
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Promote functional independence through rehabilitation interventions and discharge planning.
- Educate patients and their families about therapy goals and progress.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with hospital policies.
- Participate in service development initiatives and quality improvement projects.
- Engage in continuous professional development and training opportunities.
Requirements:
- CORU Registration as an Occupational Therapist (Essential).
- A minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience, with at least 1 year in an acute hospital setting.
- Strong clinical skills, particularly in orthopaedics, surgical, and medical rehabilitation.
- Leadership and mentoring experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support patients and work effectively within a team.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive team environment.
