Excel Healthcare is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing for a medium sized nursing home located in the picturesque suburbs near Blackrock, Co. Dublin.

Responsibilities for this Director of Nursing job in South Dublin:

• Manages and leads a team of healthcare professionals.
• Ensures the highest standards of care are provided at all times.
• Implements risk management and health and safety policies and procedures at floor level.
• Takes lead role in establishing, monitoring and maintaining compliance in relation to HIQA standards and national legislation.
• Oversees the smooth operation of the nursing home.
• Initial induction of staff and ongoing training and development of staff.
• Engages in the quality and safety management system to guarantee adherence to HIQA guidelines.

Requirements for this Director of Nursing job:

• Hold active NMBI Registration Pin.
• Qualified nurse with at least 3 years of management experience in the last 6 years, specifically in care of the older person.
• Post registration healthcare management qualification essential.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development in the last two years.
• High levels of organizational and communication skills.
• A compassionate approach to care for the elderly.
• Proven track record of effective clinical leadership and compliance with HIQA standards.
