Homecare Assistant - North Dublin

Excel Healthcare is currently seeking a dedicated Home Care Assistant on a full-time permanent basis for North Dublin area covering locations such as Swords, Malahide, Portmarnock, Ballbriggan, Donabate and Lusk.

We are looking for a caring, compassionate and dedicated care assistant. This role will suit someone who has recently graduated as a Healthcare Assistant, as well as someone with previous experience.

Candidates must have full driving licence and car.

Responsibilities of this Home Care Assistant job:

• Attend to patient's personal care needs and assist with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, toileting and feeding.
• Providing a high standard of care and service within the service users home place.
• Ensure excellent communication between service users and their family members.
• Assisting service users with any mobility needs they may have.
• Assist with household tasks such as preparing meals and light cleaning.
• Maintain written documentation of each visit as required by the client.
• Report any change in needs of the service user to the Care Supervisor.

Requirements for this Home Care Assistant job:

• Must have full, clean Irish drivers licence.
• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or equivalent.
• Previous homecare experience desirable.
• Good level of oral and written English.
• Must have appropriate authorisation to work in Ireland (e.g., EU/EEA citizenship or a valid work visa).
• Must have own car.
