Healthcare Assistant - Dublin 5

Excel Healthcare is recruiting a Healthcare Assistant for immediate start for a transitional care unit in Dublin 5.

You will look after patients who have just received care in an acute hospital, which is often necessary for older patients who require further recovery, particularly after surgery and major illnesses.

Responsibilities of this Healthcare Assistant job:

• To provide high-standard services as specified in agreed care plans and to contribute to the continual review of residents' needs.
• Assisting the nurse in the provision of quality nursing service.
• Contribute to the movement and treatment of residents to maximise their physical comfort and quality of life.
• Assist the residents with ADLs, mobility and at mealtime where necessary.
• Adhere to Infection Prevention and Control measures.

Requirements of this Healthcare Assistant job:

• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a large team.
• A minimum of 2 QQI modules in healthcare.
• Previous experience desirable.
• Good written and spoken English.
