Agency Healthcare Assistant

As an Agency Healthcare Assistant you will be working with the Nursing and Care Team in Acute hospitals to help deliver hands on care to patients who have been admitted.

Working hours are 12h shifts

Start rate: from €16 per hour

Responsibilities of this Agency Healthcare Assistant job:

• To provide a high standard of care as specified in agreed care plans and to contribute to the continual review of patient's needs.
• Assisting the nurse in the provision of quality nursing service.
• Contribute to the movement and treatment of patients to maximise their physical comfort and quality of life.
• Assist the residents with ADLs, mobility and at mealtime where necessary.
• Adhere to Infection Prevention and Control measures.
• Ad hoc cleaning responsibilities such as making beds and sanitizing necessary equipment used on the ward.

Requirements of this Agency Healthcare Assistant job:

• Full QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or equivalent is essential.
• At least 1 year experience working in an acute setting.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Hold appropriate work permit - EU Passport or IRP 2 or 4
