Job Description
Cpl Healthcare in association with our client, a leading Irish owned Pharmacy group are recruiting an experienced (3 Years+) Pharmacy Technician to work with their team in Edenderry, Co. Offaly.
This permanent opportunity will be offered on a Fulltime (40 hours) contract and there is a very attractive package on offer to the right candidate.
You will need to be able to work under pressure and as part of a team with good attention to detail.
Duties include.
- Assisting the pharmacist by accurately receiving, recording, and assembling prescriptions and issuing the appropriate receipts.
- Providing advice to customers about medicines and OTC products in a professional and empathetic manner, referring to the pharmacist where appropriate.
- Maintaining records and ensuring documents pertaining to various schemes are kept up to date and in line with pharmacy procedures.
- Maintaining stock control includes anticipating shortages and communicating to the team, placing orders with wholesalers, and verifying receipts, stock rotation, and removing outdated medicines.
- Ensuring any errors or safety issues are brought to the attention of the Supervising Pharmacist.
- Maintaining consistent professional standards at all times as directed by the Supervising Pharmacist and in line with Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assisting the pharmacy team in all areas of the pharmacy operation including OTC sales.
- Maintaining a good relationship with the pharmacy team, customers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Preparing blister packs
- Sending claims/following up on claims
